Welcome to Tampa International Airport, the 30th busiest airport in North America. Over 16.5 million travelers pass through TPA each year. One of TPAs most engaging programs is the Public Art Program. It was established in July of 1998 to enhance the travelers experience. Permanent exhibits include Art of the 60’s and 70’s, The Art of Flight, Bird Sculptures, Burgert Brothers Photographic Collection and Tapestries. Rotating exhibits include Flight of Fantasy, Talking Graphics from the Green Earth and Kites in Flight.
The busiest route for travelers in and out of Tampa International Airport during 2013 was Atlanta GA with over 900,000 passengers. The busiest airline as of April 2013 was Southwest Airlines with over 90 average daily flights.
